Slovenia is IIHF Group 3 Team, in 2010 they were in group two. We did not want our club to delay high in 2010 or 2011. We were playing Olympic teams, IIHF Group I and II clubs. Turkey was a group five team. We did not have enough talent or experience to delay high. Most of the woman had only just started playing hockey 2 years ago.
Tactics: Delay High
Defensive Tactics:
- Slovenia Defense reads the delay and intercepts the puck
Tactical Mistakes Turkey:
- Turkey failed to take the easy shot
- Turkey failed to have anyone drive to the net
- Turkey fails to have offensive triangle - We have three players in straight line.
